Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Willy who lived in a small village. Willy was a kind and caring boy, but he was also very poor. He didn’t have many toys or clothes, and he often went hungry.
One day, Willy was walking through the forest when he came across a large, old tree. The tree was unlike any other tree Willy had ever seen. It was covered in gold and silver leaves, and it sparkled in the sunlight. Willy was amazed by the tree’s beauty, and he sat down to rest beneath its branches.
As Willy sat there, he noticed a small, wooden door at the base of the tree. He was curious about the door, so he got up and opened it. Inside the door, Willy found a small, winding staircase. He decided to follow the stairs to see where they led.
The stairs led Willy down into a deep, dark cellar. In the center of the cellar, there was a large, wooden chest. Willy was even more curious now, so he opened the chest.
Inside the chest, Willy found a pile of gold coins. There were so many coins that Willy had never seen so much money in his life. He was overjoyed, and he quickly began to gather the coins into his pockets.
Just as Willy was about to leave the cellar, he heard a voice behind him. “What are you doing with my money?” the voice asked.
Willy turned around and saw an old man standing in the doorway. The old man was dressed in rags, and he looked very poor.
Willy felt ashamed of himself. He had taken the money without asking, and he knew that it didn’t belong to him.
“I’m so sorry,” Willy said. “I didn’t know the money was yours. I’ll give it all back.”
Willy began to empty his pockets, but the old man stopped him.
“Keep the money,” the old man said. “It belongs to you now.”
Willy was surprised. “But why?” he asked.
“Because you have a kind heart,” the old man said. “You deserve to be happy.”
Willy thanked the old man and left the cellar. He used the money to buy food, clothes, and a new home for himself and his family. Willy never forgot the old man’s kindness, and he always remembered to be grateful for what he had.
